Terapin's Blog

  • I'm the "hard core" fan of live music as I described in the "about Terapin" section on the home page. I have indeed been to hundreds of concerts. I've been back stage at a couple of shows and met the artists, but we can dig into that later. Live music is my passion in life, so that's what I've decided to blog about. I was 14 when I went to my first big stadium stuffing concert. It was love and addiction at first sight! I'm now 56. It's an age that now adds a delightful dose of nostalgia to every concert I go to moving forward.

  • I go to these concerts with a small circle of my closest friends. I'm always delighted by the notion of "dinner and a show". Some in my circle are far more hard core than I am when it comes to specific artists. Some of my friends outside the circle have asked me how many concerts I've been to. Honestly, I don't know because I haven't kept count. As this blog progresses forward, I'll have to take the time to rifle through my shoe box of ticket stubs to come up with an exact count so I'll have to get back to you on that.

If you share this passion as I do, please write/email me back and share your experiences. I would love to read about and post them. Rare and obscure is my specialty. The live library is growing daily, but if there's anything you desire that you don't see listed in the library, please let me know and I'll be happy to try to track it down for you. I welcome that kind of challenge.

I'm curious to know of anyone who reads this blog, What was the first stadium stuffing concert you ever went to, and when? What were your thoughts or impressions. Respond either on this site or on Terapin's facebook page.

My first concert was Styx in 1978, the Grand Illusion tour at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY. As I mentioned earlier, it was love & addiction at first sight.
